Editing your contribution is organised in sub-pages and supported through the tabs above. You can navigate from sub-page to sub-page through the buttons at the bottom of each sub-page.

On this and the following sub-pages you can edit and compose your contributions by:

Enter names of Hub-registered authors here. If she or he is registered, the name will appear in a list and you can click on it. Such, the article/video is automatically connected to the authors profile. Alternatively, names of authors may be entered in the next field, as unregistered authors.

You may enter here the name and the address of the publishing organisation.

For your new Hub article use the current year. For existing articles use the year of original publication.

After selecting an image, a preview and three text fields are provided. The first field shows under which name the image file will be stored. Use a meaningful name to make it findable. This name is not shown publicly. Please add credits to the image in the 'Description' field.

In case you intend to write your own article and publish it on the Legume Hub, you may use this sub-page to compose your article with content.

Attaching photographs, graphs, tables and figures

Photographs, tables and figures are embedded in your Hub article as image files. The Hub administration team will contact you for determining the exact position of the uploaded image files in the body text after you submitted your contribution.

After selecting an image, you can edit the meta data. You can access this information also when clicking on the ‚editing-pen‘ of already selected images.Please definitely add a caption for this image in the field "Caption" and the credits in the field "Description". Both these entries will be displayed below the image in the public article then. The very first text field defines the file name. It will not be displayed publicly, but you may adapt it. Meaningful file names are highly appreciated.

3. Uploading an existing publication

The Legume Hub provides also a disseminating service for already existing publications. Below you can upload a publication (in .pdf) providing you have the copyright permission.

4. Uploading videos

Embedding a video

The Legume Hub provides also a a platform for videos. Below you can upload a video file (in .mp4) or insert a link (e.g. to YouTube).

For making your video searchable on the Hub, please provide following information as available:

Please ensure that in sub-page Registration & general following information is provided:

The Legume Hub embeds your video also with a citation. Therefore, please enter the corresponding names into the field "authors". In the sub-page Acknowledgement & citation you may overwrite the automatically created citation and add also acknowledgements.

5. Acknowledgement & citation

Adding and editing an acknowledgement

Often, contributions on the Legume Hub are originating from previous projects and have received funding. For acknowledging the funder or a project, you can use the facility below.

Here you can select and edit an acknowledgement recipient from the list below or you may create your own. It will be attached to your contribution. It combines usually a logo (e.g. EU-flag) and an acknowledgement text.

Click on "Add acknowledgement recipient" to create a new entry. When you have completed your new entry, you will be automatically redirected to the first sub-page. This is a technical requirement by the software system. All your entries will be saved.

Citation for Hub articles and videos

Our facilities are automatically composing a citation of your article or of your uploaded video. This citation is based on the information provided in tab General. Title, registered authors as well as unregistered authors with their full names and year of publication are automatically fed into the citation below.

As our facilities can here only provide the full names of authors, we recommmend and to edit the citation through clicking on the "Overwrite" checkbox below.
