Assoc. Prof. DSc, principal investigator in the field of legumes genetics and genomics in AgroBioInstitute, Agricultural Academy, Sofia, Bulgaria. In the last 20 years, research work was concentrated on model legume Medicago truncatula- plant regeneration, understanding function of genes related to plant development and nitrogen fixation. The knowleadge obtained from model legume could be transferred to crop legumes. Last three years the work is focused on soybean, agrotechnological and innovative approaches to improve plant vigor and seed quality and promote this important legume crop to the farmers and processors.
