Since 1998, research associate at the Leibniz-Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) Müncheberg.
Experience in a variety of interdisciplinary projects on sustainable land use. Many years of experience in the application and further development of the agro-economic model system MODAM (Multi-Objective Decision Support tool for agro-ecosystem management) and in the application of the participatory Impact Assessment Tool (FoPIA). Practical experience in a number of interdisciplinary, international research projects on sustainable land use systems, e.g. in Africa and Asia (CA2Africa, LUPIS; INCAA). Project or sub-project leader in the INCAA and CA2Africa projects on upscaling conservation agriculture in various African countries.
He is leading a work package on the economics of legume production in the Legumes Translated project.
