As a plant breeder by training I carry out breeding research in early maturity soybean. Apart from adaptation of soybean to Central European growing conditions, the main focus is on harvest product quality: Characters such as seed protein content, sugar content, food safety characters, health promoting bioactive substances such as spermidine and others are investigated in order to develop new soybean breeding materials suitable for the development of novel protein-rich soy foods.
