Paul Hargreaves
SRUC
I am a grassland researcher based at the SRUC Dairy Research and Innovation Centre in Dumfries, southwest Scotland.
My current research is based on the production of quality forage for dairy cattle and the effects of soil quality on yield. This includes work on precision farming through the use of controlled traffic systems in grassland silage production as well as more novel legumes such as peas, beans, lucerne and clovers.
I am also involved with the measurement of greenhouse gas emissions from forage production and carbon footprinting of dairy production.
